While this shirt borrows the same sewn-on club crest that is encased in a black shield as in 1997, new features include a Newcastle United first. An embroidered adidas Trefoil logo features on the chest, an emblem reserved for culture wear and elevated design. It is complemented by a vibrant orange 1980's club crest on the back of the neck, a V-neck collar and subtle pinstripes to give the shirt the elegance to be an icon of both the past and the future.
